The course addresses legal and ethical issues towards the demonstration of competence, safety, and integrity. Students demonstrate competence in applying the ACA Code of Ethics and become familiar with additional ethical codes with regards to family therapy. In addition, issues towards developing a professional identity and licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist are addressed.
