Course Description
Advanced Keyboard Techniques I is for Music majors whose primary instrument is piano. Technique will cover major, natural, harmonic, and melodic minor scales, primary chord progressions in root position and first inversion form, root position arpeggios, and blocked 4-note triads in all keys. Students will harmonize from chord charts and lead sheets, developing sight-reading, transposition, improvisation, and accompanying skills.
